Weston Burt
Biography
As a country singer, Weston Burt’s story is unique. His experience playing upwards of 100 high energy shows a year in the southeast at festivals, bars, and even fraternity events sounds more like a rock band biography. Add a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and you’ve got a new twist on a classic country tale. Weston’s road to his country music career started in 2006 when he left Fort Payne, Alabama to attend Auburn University. It was there that the college freshman met a handful of like- minded musicians that were eager to form the aspiring singer’s first country band. To pay his fraternity dues, Weston and his band started performing at fraternity events. Less than two years later, Weston had released and sold more than 5,000 copies of his debut EP, Born To Do. He has opened for the likes of Clay Walker, Shenandoah, Justin Moore, Lonestar, and David Nail. In November 2010, Weston signed a production deal with Ramblin’ Music. Fresh out of college, he is now the flagship artist of Ramblin’ Records, and his first full length album is set to be released in Summer 2012. Weston just came off a 2011 fall tour opening for Lonestar and Bucky Covington. This summer, Weston will be a guest on the Jaegermeister Presents Tour opening for Randy Houser. Weston says his goal is simple: “To provide music that all ages can enjoy and provide a live show that takes people’s breath away. I love when someone comes up to me and tells me my music has helped them through a tough time. To me, that’s what music is all about - helping others.”
